It’s accepted in this global world, in which technology is improving day by day, that English is an indispensable tool to communicate. It’s a need for every citizen of our country to know at least one foreign language not only to have good relations with other countries especially with Europe, but also to be in the right place in science and to meet the needs of the modern civilization.
“This is the reason that makes English language teaching so important for TED Malatya College. At TED Malatya the instruction in English begins at the age of 6, while students are in kindergarten and continues till they graduate at 8th grade. At TED Malatya College English classes have many activities that arouse great interest in the students. In lower prımary courses we make use of puppets, drama, raps, arts and crafts, songs, DVDs, story telling, games etc. When it comes to the upper primary we use role plays, songs, writing-speakig activities, discussions about current issues, group-pair work etc. Moreover, in our classes teachers use ICT tools to make students learn by listening, by seeing and by doing. Students take role interactively with the smart boards in classes, too.
