Foreign Language Policy

In TED schools, high priority is given  to foreign language education by virtue of its mission to open English-medium schools and the foreign language education offered to students is regarded as TED schools’   most important distinguishing feature .  English education is given on the basis of  the curriculum prepared by TED English teachers taking Common European Framework as reference.  Different learning styles are taken  into consideration and  individual computer-based programmes are applied from kindergarten through the 12th grade, thus enabling students to receive international certificates.  Our goal is to produce students who are proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English and who are capable of completing a university program taught in English. All the skills; listening, speaking, reading and writing, integrated with critical thinking skills, as well as structural and lexical knowledge of the language are developed systematically over the years to prepare the students to function in today’s world where communication is the most important tool.
